Household Compact Sauna 3-4 Person-6

Installation Stages

1. Field Selection and Preparation

  • Area Size: A minimum area of 1-1.5 square meters is sufficient for a compact sauna for 1-2 people. This area should be selected considering the direction of the door opening and the seating arrangement of the sauna.
  • Floor Preparation: Sauna floor should be water and moisture resistant. Ceramic tiles, waterproof wood or PVC floors are also preferable. A special drainage system is usually not required for small saunas, but good insulation should be provided to prevent the spread of moisture.
  • Electrical Connection: A 220-230V domestic electrical connection is usually sufficient for compact saunas. For the safety of the electrical connection, electrical leakage protection systems and grounding must be installed.

2. Cabin Construction and Insulation

  • Wood Selection: The type of wood used in a compact sauna cabin should be resistant to high temperatures. Woods such as hemlock, cedar, spruce are ideal for a sauna cabin. These woods retain heat well and keep the air inside the sauna natural.
  • Insulation Materials: Insulation is very important even in small saunas. The walls and ceiling should be covered with insulating materials such as rock wool or glass wool to prevent heat loss. In addition, the sauna door is usually tempered glass or wooden glass. This minimizes heat loss.

3. Heating System Installation

  • Sauna Stove: In saunas for 1-2 people, a compact sauna stove with a power of 2-3 kW should generally be used. Electric stoves are preferred because they are practical to install and use. The stove is installed inside the cabin at a certain height from the floor.
  • Volcanic Stones: Volcanic stones placed on the sauna stove regulate the temperature of the cabin by absorbing heat and spreading it homogeneously. You can create a slightly humid environment by pouring water over these stones.

4. Ventilation and Humidity Control

  • Ventilation: Fresh air circulation should be ensured even in small spaces. At the same time, the sauna cabin should have holes in the floor for air intake and holes in the ceiling for air exhaust. This ensures that the air inside stays fresh and sauna sessions are healthier.
  • Humidity Control: In saunas for 1-2 people, a dry sauna should generally be preferred. However, if some humidity is desired, you can increase the humidity level by pouring water on the stove. In addition, compact saunas work with natural humidity methods instead of steam generating systems.
